ABOUT US
Helena Wood is the owner & one of the founders of Cured Creations. She has worked in the food, events and hospitality industry for 18 years.
​
Her former partner & good friend, Jen Mckenna, started Cured Creations with her during the first COVID lockdowns in 2020.
​
​The aim was to deliver ethically sourced, high quality & local products to people who were stuck at home- at the same time generating revenues for other small businesses that had to close.
​​​​​
Within a month they were so busy they moved into their first shop, within 6 months they stared catering full time, and within a year expanded to a larger shop!​
The two became moms in 2022 within months of each-other, and Jen was still working full time with her first baby- Creative Kitchen (meal prep & virtual chef services). So that year work & life had shifted, but in 2024 the two have rejoined forces to create Home Away Pantry!
The team is excited to again combine both of their skills to make meals fun, enjoyable, fresh, local & easy for Islanders and visitors!
